Expanding a program or adding a new service line to your business is pretty exciting! I've had the pleasure of assisting a number of agencies with projects like this, and it's fun to be a part of this process. You may be adding medical services to a housing program or therapy practice, or adding specific lines of business such as TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) or Spravato ® (esketamine) - or any number of other projects.

 

Whatever it is, there's a number of tasks to accomplish, including decisions that need to be made prior to the project, and along the way during its completion. 

 

A few of the questions I ask are: 

• What is the scope of the project? 

• What is your timeline? 

• Who is the key decision-maker? 

• Have you allocated the physical space needed for the addition/expansion to your practice? 

• Do you know what is needed to bill effectively for the new service? 

• How are you planning to handle hiring and training staff if needed for this new service, and will you want training programs created for staff?
